Here at the Derwentwater Arms we are very proud of the local suppliers we use, and try to keep it as local as possible.
Gary Hancock is our butcher here, and has been for many years. All his meat is of excellent quality and sourced as local as possible. In fact, he rears some of his own cows, which can occasionally be seen through our conservatory windows.
We use Buffalo from Baslow (usually found on our specials board) to make many different dishes. This lean meat is a great edition to any menu.
We use a wide selection of Ales which continually change. However due to how delicious the local ales are, we will always have a local ale on our bar.
Our potatoes which we use to create crispy chips, fluffy roasties and smooth mash is from a local farmer based near Cutthorpe.
Some of our fruits, vegetables and herbs are grown here at the Derwent and go straight onto your plate.
